There are so many answers to the question, “why games?”  But it basically boils down to the fact that life would be pretty darn boring without them. Whether we play, watch, gamble on them, or just talk about them, games are a large part of life.

I hope to introduce some old and traditional games, including quite a few we still play today, and write about their families and histories, where they originated, how their rules changed over time and as they traveled to new places, plus how to make them, or where you can buy them online.
